Not too much to tell this week. All unchanged at the top, just another slight extension of 1st place. Mainz overtook Hannover, which seems somehow justified. They really played outstandingly in Munich and even brought home something countable, while Hannover took a defeat in Hamburg. Hoffenheim now just ahead of Werder and that also works out quite well, as Werder’s performances have not been exhilarating lately, while Hoffenheim are playing much better.
Nuremberg overtakes Wolfsburg? Well, there are some doubts here, but they are by no means due to Nuremberg’s weakness. Wolfsburg has a couple of defeats, none of which were absolutely necessary. On the other hand, Nuremberg has the cool 4:1 from the previous week against Schalke to show for it and Wolfsburg still has the mortgage of the bad goal ratio.
Hertha also made significant gains and the quotient of 0.67 actually attests to the fact that they are suitable for the league.
